RITM is validating rapid antigen test kits for the detection of SARS-COV-2 in respiratory samples. With this, the Institute is inviting you to participate in the additional specimen collection which will ensure continuous product validation of COVID-19 tests in the country.

Should you wish to participate in this project, you will be able to help in the evaluation of rapid antigen test kits and you can get tested for COVID-19 for FREE.

If you agree, you will be swabbed twice. Additional nasopharynheal swab (NPS) and oropharyngeal swab (OPS) shall be obtained from you in addition to the specimens normally taken for Real time RT-PCR. Rest assured that the assigned specimen collector is trained for the procedures to ensure your safety.

All information you provide shall be considered confidential, and no mention of your name or any other unique identifiers shall appear on the samples or in any reports in connection with this endeavor. No persons other than the authorized staff from RITM shall have access to any information that identifies you individually.

You may choose not to participate and you may also refuse to participate at any time without penalty. You do not have to explain why you do not wish to participate or decide to withdraw your participation.
